Thomas “Tommy” Bryant, age 72, of Arkadelphia, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020.  He was born December 11, 1947 to the late Gilbert and Audrey Duncan Bryant next to the railroad tracks in Whelen Springs, Arkansas.  Tommy is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Belinda J. (Haltom) Bryant; and one grandson, Jacob Andrew Shepherd.

Tommy started a 35-year career with Southwestern Bell and when Vietnam started, he enlisted in the ARMY to use his knowledge in communications to help in the war.  After four faithful years of service he returned to Southwestern Bell to finish out his career.  He loved playing the slots at Oaklawn, fishing, hunting, watching sports (basketball, football, and baseball), watching movies and eating with his family and doing crossword puzzles in ink.

Tommy is survived by his son, Jason Bryant (Ann) of Bismarck; daughter, Amber Shepherd (Jeffrey Lockwood) of Caddo Valley; grandchildren: Issac, Ashton, Stephanie, Whitney, Cole, Hannah, and Jonathan; four great-grandchildren: Emma Leigh, Tucker, Damien, and Sebastian; two brothers, Johnny Bryant of Benton, Greg Roark of Malvern; and two sisters, Betty Paul of Okolona, and Sandy Fite of Sheridan.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating.  No formal visitation is planned.
