Virginia Hall

The family of Virginia Carol Hall would like to thank you for honoring her memory by your presence today.

She was born on May 14, 1942 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Carson and Elsie Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters (Sue Stabler and Phyllis Sharp), brother-in-law Marvin Hall, brother and sister-in-law Wesley and Linda North, and her loving husband James Lowell Hall.

Virginia was an all American girl that loved life and was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She was someone that was always there to support her family and friends and always saw the best in everyone and everything. She loved her years at work beginning with National Investors, Ole South and then her many years at TCBY before retiring at the same time that her husband retired from the North Little Rock Fire Department.

She spent many years traveling to the beach with Lowell, Mike and Steve and then later on with Mike, Steve, Beverly and Hannah; cruising with her husband and friends and boating along the Arkansas River with Lowell; the love of her life. These were times that she loved and talked about with a big smile.

She also enjoyed her girl friends and their weekly lunches or getting coffee; going to her weekly beauty appointment was a wonderful treat that she looked forward to each week, or hanging out with her “garage” friends (neighborhood friends). For many years a joy for her was working on her yard and flower beds while watching the robins watch her, which were her favorite birds.

She had two dogs (Bonnie and Trudy) which she loved and loved her cat Charlie; even though he wasn’t a dog.

One of her great prides was her granddaughter Hannah. She was her pride and joy and loved spending time with her. One of the things they loved to do was going shopping together or going to the bookstore.

Virginia loved all her family and one of her greatest joys was doing things with and for her family. She always put her family first and was willing to sacrifice whatever she needed for her family.

Although she loved her family she loved her Lord even more. She had a strong faith that began at a young age through her Baptist faith. Her faith saw her through good and bad times. It was her faith that allowed her to see the best in things and love fully with her heart.

She is survived by her two sons Mike Hall of North Little Rock and Steve (Beverly) Hall; granddaughter Hannah Hall all of Little Rock; brother-in-laws Dr. Carey Stabler of North Carolina and Dale Sharp of Cabot; sister-in-law Nita Hall of Cabot; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
