Walter Lee Crosson, Sr., 82, of Sherwood, Arkansas, formerly of St. Charles, Arkansas, peacefully passed away in his beloved home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. He was born in Clarendon, Arkansas on September 16, 1936 to his parents, George and Viola Crosson.

Walter's life was wholly enriched by the word of the Lord. After spending ten years in the Navy, he surrendered himself to the ministry, where he preached the word of God for almost 50 years. Throughout his time serving the Lord, his faith never wavered, and his preaching saved and inspired the lives of countless people.

He is survived today by his wife of 61years, Odeene Crosson; five children, Jesse Crosson of Paragould, Arkansas, Janiece (Rocky) Harvey of Cabot, Arkansas, Robbie (Priscilla) Crosson of Tyler, Texas, Walter Crosson, Jr. (Greta) of Sherwood, Arkansas and Jeanette (Todd) Nichols of Colt, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends are left to cherish his astounding memory.

Besides his parents, George and Viola Crosson, Walter was preceded in death by his stepfather, George Porter; sister, Thelda Mae Vance; and two brothers, George Crosson and Charles Crosson.

Funeral services, officiated by Walter Lee Crosson, Jr., will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 30 at Harmony Baptist Church, Sherwood, Arkansas. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
