Walter Davis

Walter Watson Coleman “Babe” Davis, 95, of Little Rock, passed away January 16, 2021 with his family at his side. Born in England, Arkansas to Delton Cyclone and Iva Pruitt Davis, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and co-owner of Jimmy Davis Motors. He was a member of Mabelvale Missionary Baptist Church and Geyer Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred Davis, brothers, Jimmy Davis and L.D. Davis, sister, Lucille Oswald, and children, Bennie Bivens and Eugene Davis. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Harry and Janice Gray (Vincent); nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Services will be Monday, January 25 at 11:00 a.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 10:00, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205.  Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Covid-19 guidelines for wearing masks and social distancing will be observed.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Neonatal Intensive Care Dept., 9601 Baptist Health Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205.
