William "Len" Springer

William Leonard Springer, “Len”, 73, of Maumelle passed from this life on October 3, 2021. He was born October 11, 1947, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ether Emerson and Mildred Winnie (Farris) Springer. Mr. Springer selflessly served his county in the United States Marie Corps during the Vietnam War. After leaving the military, Len received his BSN and spent the rest of his career caring for veterans at Ft. Roots Veterans Hospital. In addition to serving fellow service members in his nursing career, Mr. Springer was also a Judge Advocate for the United States Marine Corps League in Conway. He enjoyed woodworking but was always happiest spending time with his family. Mr. And Mrs. Springer were longtime members of First United Methodist Church in Maumelle. In addition to his parents, Len was preceded in death by a brother, Hearold Springer and niece, Leigh Ann Meiner.

Those left behind include his loving and devoted wife of forty-eight years, Pamela (Hatcher) Springer; siblings, Willene Davis of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Morris Springer of Tallahassee, Florida, Emerson Springer of Portland, Oregon and Rita Lee of Atlanta, Georgia. Other survivors include fourteen nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, a host of extended family and dearly loved friends.

Memorial services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, October 16, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Maumelle with Reverend Aubretta Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery North in Sheridan at 3:00pm. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00pm prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Mr. Springer’s memory may be made to First United Methodist Church, Maumelle, 1201 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas, 72113, or the Marine Corps League of Conway at P.O. Box 244, Conway, Arkansas, 72023.
