J Q Richardson

J Q Richardson, 87, of Sherwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2020. He was born on June 25, 1932 in Raymond, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents William F. Richardson, Sr. and Annie Mae Gannon Richardson; brothers, William F. Jr., Claude, James, and Tommy; sisters, Annie Louise Reniger and Bernice Patterson.  He is survived by his spouse of 63 years, Louise Pace Richardson; sons, Stuart (Teresa) and Marty (Cheryl); 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson Dedman (Matt), Michael (Tiffany), Drew, Nicole, and Grant Richardson; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kai, Zeke, and Ember;  and sister, Vera Greene.

J Q served his country in the Korean War. He was employed in the insurance industry for 45 years. He was a faithful member of the NLR Church of God DBA E4 Church for 57 years. He served as the church clerk for 55 of those years.

J Q was a hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed Southern Gospel music and “picking and grinning.” He played guitar and sang with his friends and fellow musicians at the Hays and Jack Evans Centers.  He was an avid Razorback fan.

He lived a life of servant leadership. His example brought honor to his Heavenly Father. His family was the joy and light of his life. His presence will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Friday, January 31, 2020 at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the E4 Church, Honduras Life Mission Orphanage, 218 Willow Street, Jacksonville, 72076.
