Katherine White

Katherine Ann White, age 59,  known by her loved ones as Kathy. Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 20, at her home, surrounded by her friends and family. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bobby French and Annie Sandusky, she lived every moment to the fullest despite her short years here on earth. She Graduated High School in 1979 from Ole’ Main HIgh in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Many friendships formed during these years spanned her life. She later received her Bachelors in Organizational Management from John Brown University and her Masters of Science in Operation Management from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 35 years, finishing her career as a Lead Information Security Analyst. Her job took her to many places, which sparked her love for travel. This love for travel took her on many adventures across the United States and Central America.

To know Kathy was to love her. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, and aunt. She was the backbone to her family that took care of everyone and helped in any way she could. There were no lengths too far when there was a need. She would often be surrounded by her extensive family and friends laughing and creating memories.  Ever the optimist, compassionate, and fun loving woman with such an infectious smile, an absolute delight to be around. She never met a stranger and was a mentor to many. She was a girls softball coach for many years with the Burns Park Athletic Association. Her favorite past times were singing karaoke and scrapbooking. She would often be found with a camera in her hand to capture her favorite memories to share with others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bobby French and Annie Sandusky, and is the Widow of Paul Clinton Hardester. She is survived by her Husband Robert Joe White, six children Samantha (Jacky) Taylor of Little Rock, Katie (Jack) Page of Conway, Nadia (Robert) Davidson of Ward, Angela Vandevender of Bryant, Jacob (Lindsey) Ellison of Bryant, and Samantha (Neal) Rollins of Bentonville. One sister Virginia Yawn of Romance, and two brothers Travis French of North Little Rock, and Gary French of Mayflower. Ten grandchildren and a large host of extended family members.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Elite Hospice of Hot Springs and special caregivers, Loretta Homsley and Kasey Hunter along with a host of others. They gave such amazing care and compassion to Kathy in her final months.
