Maggie LaPointe

Maggie Louise McGill LaPointe died in her home May 18, 2020 in Hot Springs. She was 81 years old.

Louise retired from Gulfstream Aerospace after a long career as an avionics installer. She dedicated her remaining years serving the Lord by caring and encouraging her friends and family.

Louise is survived by her brother Cecil McGill; daughter and son-in-law, Donna “Katie” and Bill Burke; daughter, Vicky Moody; son and daughter-in-law, Donald “Sam” and Paula Moody; daughter-in-law, Linda LaPointe; step daughter, Laurie Brown; step-sons, Roger and Robert LaPointe; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger LaPointe; parents, Jim L. and Jennie Marie Moore McGill; sisters, Juanita Phillips and Helen Simpson; and brothers, Jimmy, Roy, and Thomas McGill.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Gravel Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Burke, Joey Burke, Daniel Moody, Tyler Moody, Jacob Moody, Jeremy Moody and Evan Burke.

Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
