Reverend Bill Harden

Reverend Bill B. Harden, 84, of Sherwood went to be with the Lord October 7, 2021.  He was born September 29, 1937 in Hot Springs to the late Oster and Lucille Harden.  He served in the Air National Guard and was a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International for 60 years. He served as associate minister in churches in Texas and Arizona before answering the call to evangelistic work.  He and his wife then planted churches in Oklahoma and Connecticut before returning to pastor in Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret King Harden; daughters:  Dawn Renee’ Harden and Ember Harden Plumlee; grandsons: Joshua Bill Plumlee (Jacob), Printer Zachary Plumlee (Jessica); James Matthew Zane Plumlee (Kyly); sister, Barbara Harden Owen (John); great-grandson, Printer Harrison Plumlee; numerous extended family, church family and many friends.

Rev. Harden was preceded in death by two brothers: George Franklin Harden and Halbert Ellis Harden; son-in-law, Printer V. Plumlee and great-granddaughter, James Katherine “Jimi Kate” Plumlee.

Speakers include, Pastor Tim Gaddy, Rev. Marty Harden (nephew), Zane Plumlee (grandson) as well as Rev. Pete Mays who will represent ministers mentored by Bro. Harden. Rev. Aubrey Jayroe will conduct the committal service.

Pallbearers include: Joshua Bill Plumlee, Capt. Printer Zachary Plumlee, James Matthew Zane Plumlee, Gilbert Garrett, Thomas Russell, Esq., Rev. Larry Gimnich, Matthew Oakes and Cory York.

Honorary pallbearers are Judge Milas Hale, Dr. Raymond Marecek, Arthur “Frenchie” Boutiette, Rev. DWayne Dycus and Printer Harrison Plumlee.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral at noon, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at New Life Church Cabot, 107 Commercial St., Cabot, AR.  Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
