William Ahlquist

William Ahlquist

William “Billy” Lee Ahlquist left this life for the next on February 1, 2020. He was the adored husband of Jolanta Maria Ahlquist. Who, together, spent five years of immeasurable love and adventure. They were the parents to three German Shepherds Scarlet, Thanos, and Ronin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jolanta Ahlquist; his mother, Margie Keller and step-father Pat Keller; his father, William “Bill” Ahlquist, Sr.; his sisters, Heather Ahlquist, Tiffany Zimmermann, and Mellissa Leinen; his brother, Kevin Zuzga, his nieces, Beverly DeGaro, Delilah DeGaro; and nephew, Zander Zimmerman; his maternal grandparents, Jane and George Leinen; his aunt and uncle George and Stacy Leinen; and cousins, Sabrina Nau, Shelley Nau, David Leinen.

He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Linda Ahlquist; uncle, John Ahlquist; aunt, Lori Ahlquist; cousins, Summer Ahlquist, Anthony Ahlquist, Shilinn Ahlquist; and cousins, Danielle Cantway and Brittny Cantway; his great uncle, Larry Willmann; his uncle and aunt Brad and Julie Keller, uncle Scott Keller, and aunts Andi Keller, Vicki Keller, Barb Keller, and grandmother, Lois Keller and many cousins; his mother in law, Magdalena Kosarewicz; his father in law, Kris Kosarewicz; his brothers in law, Adam, Roger, Marek, and Patrick Kosarewicz; and his goddaughter Maesyn Cate Mitchell.

He is also survived by many loving friends and friends that have become family.

Will was born in Oceanside, California on Camp Pendleton on June 28, 1990. He served in the United States Air Force from 2009 to 2013. He was continuing his contributions to his country through D.O.D. contracting at Little Rock Air Force Base.

Will was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and spent as much time getting “wind therapy” as he could. He was a prospective member of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club at the time of his passing. If you didn’t find him riding, he could be found in his garage rebuilding motorcycles and vehicles. He was a die-hard Bears and Brewers fan and could not be swayed.

Jolanta was and shall remain his heart and soul.  She is his partner in crime, his best friend, and the ever-steady beacon of light and love that kept him grounded. She was the beat inside his chest. His always present breath of fresh air. Together they were one, and one they shall always remain.

Will’s contagious laugh brought light to the darkest days. He was undeniably full of life and adored his friends and family with an unmatched passion. There is nothing in this life, or the next, that could stop him from showing that.

To know Will was to love him.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
