Will Hunt

Will Hunt

Manager, Funeral Director and Cremation Specialist

Before becoming the Manager and Funeral Director at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Will was already accustomed to helping others in his roles as teacher, athletic coach and assistant chief of the Point Cedar Fire Department. His experience with his own father's service is what inspired him to become a funeral professional, having witnessed the kindness of those who helped him and his mother through that time. Now, he deeply enjoys fulfilling that same purpose with the families of Arkadelphia.

Wade Overturf

Wade Overturf

Funeral Director and Cremation Specialist

Father, Razorback fan, and Henderson State University alum.

Wade's role as a minister brought him to Smith Family Funeral Homes years ago, and we're so glad he decided to stay with us! As a father of six, Wade's life is a busy one but he still makes time for golf, watching sports, and telling Dad jokes. His favorite part of being a funeral professional is the connections and lifelong friendships he has made meeting families during one of the toughest times of their lives.

Ashley Shaver

Ashley Shaver

Funeral Director, Embalmer and Cremation Specialist

Mother, University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana alum, and thrift shopping maven.

Described by her friends and family as intuitive, resilient, and resourceful, Ashley is a resident of Arkadelphia and an integral member of the Ruggles-Wilcox team. She was inspired to become a funeral professional so that she could guide individuals through their loss by celebrating the life their loved ones lived, helping her community re-imagine funerals as a "wholesome commemoration rather than a dreaded event."

MacKenzie Burks

MacKenzie Burks

Upright bassist, Arkansas Barrel Racing Association Member, and holder of 5 academic degrees.

She is also pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University. MacKenzie serves as an adjunct instructor in the Funeral Service Program at the UofA Hope-Texarkana. Outside her work at the funeral home, MacKenzie finds meaning and joy in riding horses, racing mules, and playing her upright bass in church every Sunday.
