What Makes Us Different

The location of our funeral home in Beebe just can’t be beat. With the beautiful scenery, state-of-the-art facilities, and spacious Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens just steps away from the property, we are ready to serve every family that comes through our doors. Many families from outside the Beebe area come to have their loved ones interred in our elegant mausoleum, located within the peaceful and spacious gardens. Add to that our family-owned crematory and you have a complete funeral and cremation facility that has the unique ability to serve any and all after-care needs.

Our directors have served with Smith Family for over 40 years. As long-time veterans of the profession, they understand what it takes to do the job. More importantly, as long-time members of the Smith Family team, they are able to do so with the highest standard of care and compassion for each and every family. We know that Beebe’s small-town community is all supporting one another, and our team at Smith Westbrook reflects and embodies that value.

History & Community

Before establishing their first funeral home in 1938, Mr. and Mrs. Westbrook founded Westbrook Hardware Store in 1933. Five years later, they shifted to their funeral home business at 230 Main Street in Beebe. Mr. and Mrs. Westbrook’s granddaughter married into the Priest family, who then took over the funeral home on Main Street. In 1986, the funeral home moved to its current location at 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive next to the beautiful Meadowbrook Memorial Garden and Cemetery, which was established five years earlier. Finally in 2007/2008, the Priest family approached the Smith family about taking over the funeral home, and it became Smith Westbrook Funeral Home.

We believe that every good funeral home should be integral to its community, a goal that can’t be achieved just by being there the longest. One of our core values at Smith Family Funeral Homes is giving back to the families who make us great, and we do that by supporting first responders, veterans, caregivers and others by hosting cookouts, birthdays, and more. Our directors and other team members volunteer their time to work with the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. We also host an annual Christmas toy drive to support the Union Rescue Mission Dorcas House in their effort to care for abused women and children in the Central Arkansas area.

About Smith Westbrook Funeral Home

This funeral home in Beebe, Arkansas is just as steeped in history and charm as the rest of the town is. Not only does it reflect the cozy, small-town feel, but it’s the only funeral home in the area, typically serving around 200 families every year. Smith Westbrook Funeral Home is as much a part of the fabric of Beebe as the schools, churches, and the various well-known flea and antique markets. Both those who live in the rural communities of Beebe and those from Little Rock looking for a more tightly knit atmosphere with city amenities will find that Smith Westbrook is the right choice.
